GUYS MOST COMMON LIE: The fear of commitment
Ever dated a guy who eventually told you that he “wasn’t ready for a relationship” only to find that he’s dating a new woman the very next weekend?
That’s a VERY common lie, and I see it happen all the time. I won’t blame you if it’s happened to you a few times. (Happened to me at least a dozen times!)
Men who tell lies like this are afraid of one thing — commitment.
Yup, there are guys who can’t stand commitment. They can’t stand the responsibility of dating one woman exclusively, or they’re scared of the idea that he may have to give up the things they enjoy in the single life.
When a guy is afraid of commitment,
He lies to avoid settling into a more serious relationship.
He lies to make sure the relationship remains casual and without any serious responsibilities.
And yes, confronting him about his lies won’t do you any good. After all, he wasn’t interested in committing in the first place — and arguing with him will only give him the idea that, yup, he was right in avoiding a relationship with you!

You may keep your thoughts and feelings to yourself today because you’re embarrassed by what you want. Although you believe that your little secret is safe, you’re probably more transparent than you think. Your closest friends will suspect that you’re holding something back, but they know you well enough not to pry. Thankfully, your current shyness will pass if you can just get over your fears and insecurities. Your smartest strategy is sharing your inner process with a trustworthy friend.
THIS. EXACTLY.
